The Graduate School of Applied Science was established in 1906; in 1912 it was superseded by the Graduate Schools of Applied Science, a faculty separate from the Faculty of Arts and Sciences. The Graduate Schools included the Schools of Engineering, Mining, Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Forestry, and Applied Biology (the Bussey Institution).
